Just came back from my attachment at orange valley. It's only for two days,so it's ok.Get to know different old folks, some are friendly, while some are quite aggressive in their behaviour.I don't blame them,it's because some have dementia.I also get to know a nice auntie, she would hold my hand and talk to me just for the sense of security.I also get to feed them porridge. After this attachment,my perspective change a little.
I saw some stroke patient laying on the bed, relying on tube feeding with some isocal drink,it seriously pains my heart. There is one patient when they insert the tube from her nose to her gastric, her facial expression is full of pain, but she cannot shout or cry as she have stroke. What I can do is hold on to her hand, give her a sense of security and moral support. Then I saw her smile,I was so happy and I seriously think she should smile more .=)
After what I have seen,I think whatever problem I am facing now is nothing compare to the stroke patient, they struggle to survive even in this state. What am i grumbling about?Haha
Next attachment will be at hospital, would have a lot of hands on,a bit nervous.=DJiayou...
